Husband. Pet Owner. Coach. PhD Student...When I was chatting with my wife earlier, I told her how exhausted I was, and that I felt like I was working Eight Days a Week. I know most of you look forward to reading my post each week, but I just needed to take a break this week.
In short, I love what Jim Mora, Jr. is doing with UCLA. First off, the win over Nebraska last week has caused an absolute uproar; in Lincoln - they've pulled so many skeletons out of Bo Pelini's closet that the skeletons are probably scared now :). But, to shift the focus back onto UCLA, I don't see why UCLA shouldn't win the South Division. It would appear their toughest competition lies with USC and Arizona State. Well, as for USC, we all know that they aren't elite and expect Lane Kiffin to have skeletons come out of his closet as well. As for Arizona State, they sure didn't play very well yesterday vs Stanford. So, I'm picking UCLA.
Did any of you watch UT vs UF yesterday? Everyone seems to be squawking (kah! kah!) about Jeff Driskel's injury. Last time I checked, the backup QB for the Gators looked better than Driskel. And, man, UT, when are you going to be relevant? UT looked terrible and do not seem to have any improvement in sight under Butch Jones. Butch Jones, why would you start a RS Fresh for the first time on the road vs an elite UF defense? Kah! Kah!
Michigan, what the hell are you doing? Ok, so I get it, squeaking a win vs Akron is somewhat understandable after beating Notre Dame. But, UCONN?!? Really? How do you guys struggle to beat UCONN?
LSU looked pretty decent last night vs Auburn. I sure am looking forward to their matchup against the Dawgs in the Football Parthenon!
Even though I've been brief today, let me wrap up by saying idk whether Chip Kelly's schemes are going to work in the NFL. Sure, the Eagles have only played 3 games, but they are 1-2. That's 2 more losses than 1 win. And, Andy Reid certainly has the Chiefs playing good football. Think there are any Philly fans out there who want Andy Reid back? Maybe so. Dude can flat coach.
2. Random Thoughts
I sure can't wait to see the movie Gravity. It has a very high metascore and is supposedly one of the best sci-fi's ever made. I do like sci-fi's but sometimes they can be a bit freaky. For example, were any of you freaked out by the Alien movies? They made me feel like I had tons of skeletons under my bed! Jeepers.
I also heard Gravity is supposed to be Sandra Bullock's best movie. WE WILL SEE.
