Athletes with Killer Instincts Since 1990: No. 3

3. Kobe Bryant

Anyone with the nickname "Black Mamba" should definitely have killer instincts. Kobe Bryant definitely epitomizes his nickname with his play. And, if you don't think Bryant switched jerseys numbers from #8 to #24 to send a message, then you are probably naive. #24 just happens to be 1 better than #23...

Even though he is currently injured, Bryant has been playing since 1996! That is a long, long time to be playing at such a high level (when he is healthy) in professional sports. Bryant has made 16 NBA All-Star appearances, won the NBA Championship 5 times, is 11x All-NBA First Team, 9x All-Defensive First Team, 2x NBA Finals MVP, and 1x NBA MVP. While I think some players, such LeBron James, may have more overall talent and better physical attributes than Bryant, I'm not sure they will ever have Bryant's killer drive to be the best.
