4. The Sandlot
Prior to video games and the prevalence of the internet, young adults actually played sports and games outside. I, and most people who used to play backyard ball (football, basketball, baseball, etc), can relate to the greatness displayed in The Sandlot - camping out in Suburbia, creating mythical beasts, getting into relative trouble, forming camaraderie, and soaking in summer at the pool.
Quite simply, The Sandlot does arguably the best job at romanticizing childhood during the summer. And, let's not forget some of the memorable lines, like Hamilton Porter's "You play ball like a giiirrrrrrrrl!" And, most males can remember Squints infamous scene with Wendy Peffercorn.
And now don't you want to go watch this movie again?
