7. Rudy
Rudy is one of the best underdog movies, period. In addition to having a motivational and inspiring soundtrack, Rudy teaches several lessons.
The greatest lesson I learned from Rudy is improving on what I can control. I cannot control how much smarter, faster, stronger, or bigger someone else is than me, but what I can control is how hard I work to achieve a goal.
Sure, to an outsider, Rudy's tackle of a Flag Football player (Georgia Tech) late in the game may seem meager. But, to someone who understands college football, being able to play one down on Notre Dame's roster (a top-tier program at that time) is an amazing accomplishment, especially given Rudy's attributes. A must see movie for sports or non-sports movie enthusiasts.
